Yardımcı Üreme Tekniklerinin (IVF’nin) Getireceği Tıbbi Etik Sorunlar

In those human activities where serious, moral issues arise, it seems to be quite important to identify the limits between “what is professionally possible or realizable” and “that which is ethically permissible”. Evidently, in vitro fertilization is one of the prime examples among such activities.
In this article, first of all the ethics problems are classified, the idea of IVF is summarized. The conditions of the management of IVF centrals and the ethics and legal issues which depends on this method are discussed. Finally in this context the key concepts such as “honesty informed consent”, “first not to give harm”, “confidentiality” and the necessity of the establishment of research laboratories in the IVF centrals are emphasized.Keywords: Medical ethics, IVFTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Ethics 1993,1:53-56
