Euthanasie And The Accompanying Ehical Problems

On this paper, after giving the description of Euthanasie like one of the most current topics of medical ethics in our age; the progress of the views concerning Euthanasie from antiquity up to recent times and the conditions rendering Euthanasie indispensable with regards to the medical ethics, despite the prohibitive rigid conduct of the monotheistic religions towards it, are going to be covered.
Additionally, after having studied the judicial legislations abuot Euthanasie in Europe and the USA, it is emphasized that the present legislation in our country, especially the Turkish Regulations for Deontology which has been valid since 1960, should be modified in the western direction in order to keep up with the developments in the west.Keywords: Medical ethics, euthanasieTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Ethics 1994,2:16-21
