Ethical Problems Of Terminally ıll Children With Eye Trauma

aDeontoloji ve Tıp Tarihi AD, İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi İSTANBUL The aim of this article is to study the ethic problems of the terminally ill children who had been examined, operated and followed by the ophthalmologist. The ethic problems related to the children who had trauma including the eye had been examined, operated and followed in the last ten years were as following:
1- Patient as a child, 2- Consent, informed consent, 3- Unconsciousness or confusion due to trauma, 4- Indefiniteness of prognosis, 5- Decision process, 6- Consultation with other sections and difficulty in transportation among the clinics, 7-Intensive care unit, 8- Cessation of the cardiopulmonary rescuciation 9- Consent/permission for organ transplantation.
