The Evaluation Of Medical Ethics Education Given To Physicians

Material and Methods: A "Medical Emergency Certification Programme" was arranged for medical doctors by Denizli City Health Administration. Totally 298 practitioner doctors were participated in this programme. Medical ethics education was given to participants in this course. Practitioner doctors were taken an evaluation test before and after the programme. Analytic results were evaluated statistically methods.
Results: The rate of true answers to questions about medical ethics was 14.8% in pre-test. This rate increased to 84.6% in the post test (p< 0.05).
Conclusion: This result indicates that there were deficiencies about medical ethics in participating physicians and these deficiencies were corrected by education. Similar medical ethics courses should be included in postgraduate education programmes.Keywords: Medical ethics, postgraduate education,
