Public Interest To Traditional Medicine In Isparta

aHalk Sağlığı AD, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, ISPARTA Objective: The research was carried out in order to determine the habit of using traditional medicine in Isparta.
Material and Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study. Threehundredfifty person participated in this study. Data was collected by standart questionnaire form.
Results: 50.3% of the study group were male, and 28.9% of them were 55 years old or even older. 68.0% of the study group had used traditional (alternative) treatment and 86.1% of them had used herbal medicine. Most of the people who preferred alternative treatment were female, have low educational level, and have no social security.
Conclusion: Public interest to traditional treatment is an important public health problem in our country.
