Patient Rights In The Case Of Detention, Arrestment And Imprisonment

* Dr.Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Deontoloji AD, Doktora Öğrencisi, ANKARA The patient rights which relies on the basic documents connected with human rights is one of the controversial subjects of medical ethics. In that field physiciatric patients, children, elderlies, HIV positive individuals those whose freedom restricted by law are the risk groups of patient rights neglect.
In this article article the medical ethics, issues on patient rights in prison conditions and some solution suggestions will be discussed. Ordinary medical treatments and patient care in prison conditions and the problems occur in transferring the prisoners to the hospitals will be discussed from ethical point of view and the responsibilities of the doctors during the activi-ties like hunger strike or death fasting will be examined.
