* Dr.Ankara Üniversitesi Eczacılık Fakültesi Eczacılık İşletmeciliği AD, ANKARA Hospital pharmacists encounter a wide range of situations, that compel them to decide between right and wrong attitudes, during their daily activities. Because of this reason every encounter between the pharmacist and the patient may create an ethical problem. Hospital pharmacists try to solve these problems by the aid of the law numbered 6197 about Pharmacy and Pharmacists, the rules about pharmacy services that are given in the 17th article of The Regulation of Hospital Administration, and Turkish Pharmacists Deontology Regulation. However laws and rules are focused on the individual situations and facts. A statement "Do not lie to the patients" is an example of provision. We need to decide between right and wrong attitudes. Ethical principles are more general and ultimate in nature. Principles have the ability to assess and accept the rules. For example the principle of respect for autonomy and the principle about lying to the patient guide to the acts and attitudes of pharmacists. Keywords: Hospital Pharmacy, Ethics, Ethical EvaluationsTurkiye Klinikleri Tıbbi Etik 1997, 5:68-72
