Hymen Examination, As A Social And Ethical Problem

Health sciences aim to protect and enhance human health as well as treating the diseases. While doing these, some ap-plications that are against human dignity are neglected. Many authors consider hymen control among those. Hymen control, which violates basic rights and freedoms of women, and has social, legal, ethical and theological aspects still continues to be practiced in Turkey.
