A Book With 7 Editions, Describing The Roles Of Doctors And Nurses Together In History:

* İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Deontoloji ve Tıp Tarihi AD, İSTANBUL The book was published first in 1966 under the name "Geschichte der Pflege des kranken Menschen (History of Caring III People)". New editions were published with several additions and the book reached its final name from the 6thedition in 1993, reaching the 7th edition in 2003. Its authors are the German medical history writers Prof.Dr.med. Eduard Seidler and Prof.Dr.med. Karl-Heinz Leven. Being a child health and diseases specialist, Prof.Seidler has served as a director at the Freiburg Albert-Ludwig University for many years. Prof.Leven, another MD, is still working as medical historian in the same Institute. As the authors think that history of medicine should not be evaluated separately from the history of patient care, the book compares the two histories. Reflecting a sophisticated systematic, the book enables the reader to understand the historical evaluation of medicine in the most accurate way, thanks to the broad vision it offers.Keywords: History of medicine, Patient care, German medical history writers
