Hospital of Sultan Bayezit II., constructed near Tunca river and began to serve in 1488, is one of the units of the site.Although, it was built to treat various kinds of diseases, it lotted this characteristics in the course of time and began to serve only mental and spirit diseases.In this study; I try to explain the use of the hospital for the treatment of mental and spirit diseases, and the conditions of the patients by means of the documents.Keywords: Hospital, Mental and Spirit Diseases, Psychiatry, EdirneTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Ethics-Hukuku-Tarihi 2002, 10:26-33
