Appear-ance of the person is mostly due to the skin and skin append-ages and it is very important for first impression. To touch someone is another important communication way and it is the best expression way of our loves, and affections. The most important kind of this contact is between parents and children, especially mother and children. To touch kindly with love and affection to the patients with dermatologic and particularly psychocutaneous diseases is very important for patients selfconfidence. These patients feel thirselves as isolated, dirty and guilty. That is why to touch them is very important for a good communication. Keywords: Communication, Skin, PsychocutaneousTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Ethics-Hukuku-Tarihi 2002, 10:77-80
