It was calculated that percent of specialists and percent of private sector physicians in files were significantly higher compared to the general practitioners and physicians who work in the public institutions in Izmir (p<0.001). The most frequent seen cases were related with advertisement regulations, unjustifiable benefit and not to respect and give proper care for health and life. Keywords: Medical ethics, Turkish Medical Association, Disciplinary CommitteeTurkiye Klinikleri J Med Ethics-Hukuku-Tarihi 2002, 10:202-213
