Case Management In Psychiatry And The Role Of The Nurse Incase Management Method

Changes in population, demographic features, economy, politics and technology has guided both the demands in health care system and the methods developed to satisfy these demands. The life span has extended with the improvements in medicine, science and technology but this brought the increase in the population of elderly and chronic patients. These factors have increased the expenditures in health care delivery. On the other hand, the reflection of the concept of 'quality' in health care services made health care institutions face to provide quality service despite the increasing demand and limited resources. Case management is a method developed for this purpose.
