The Patients' Rights Statutes And The Physicians' Sensitivities

An inquiry was carried out to the randomly selected 344 physicians who work as academicians in Dokuz Eylül University Medical School and 3rd and 6th years students.
The results showed that most of the physicians have superficial information about the basic concepts and the legislation or regulations related to the rights of patients, The lack of proper understanding the main idea of patients' rights was prominent. The necessity to promote and create much more formal and better training for all parties and levels is obvious. Besides these, they have sensitivities and high moral values to protect their patients' rights. It is indicated their sense of understanding their professionals' responsibilities.
