Family Planning And Medical Abortion In Turkey,in The Light Of Law And Ethics

Medical ethics is a field of study in which the following are investigated at on academical level and the necessary education is given : problems of value within medical practice are dealth with; how to approach to these problems, how to discuss the problems in this issue, how to develop ideas and views (methodological aspect of the matter), and what kind of solutions to be found are determined and described.
Family planning is one of the contraversial issues of medical ethics. Since different solutions can be obtained under different conditions, the authors, following the main principles of ethics (not giving harm, justice, beneficence and autonomy) studied family planning policies followed in our country since the foundation of the Turkish Republic, and tried to evaluate "the issue of abortion "; and medical termination of pregnancy, though it has not been a basic family planning technique.Keywords: Family Planning Ethics, Consent.T Klin Tıbbi Etik 1998, 6:24-32
