* Dr.,Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Deontoloji AD, Öğr.Gör., ANKARA Medicine can be defined as an applied scientific field in which the human being is considered as a biopsychosocial whole whose health must be preserved and treated whenever he or she is in need of it. Being based on scientific knowledge, it works for the good of man and woman. When medical practice in our country is evaluated from the viewpoint of moral values, we can say that medical ethics has been gaining a real popularity. Another concept that is close to medical ethics is medical deontology, which has been much more popular in this country until recently. The concept of ethics is now commonly known and used by physicians as well as by academics from other fields. In this paper, ethical problems in the practice of medicine in our country and the reactions of people to them are described. The main aim of the article is to consider the most commonly observed problems in this area that are apparently different but which have, in actual fact, basic similarities. Keywords: Ethics, Medical ethics, Medical deontology,
